The first week in April we are excited to announce two events in New York City with Ann Cvetkovich, author of Depression: A Public Feeling, and Carolyn Dinshaw, author of How Soon Is Now?
Both books will be part of a new show by Kay Turner, Otherwise: Queer Scholarship into Song at Dixon Place on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 pm. The highly unusual production takes
the form of a musical review/book party. The show features the
unconventional transformation of recently released queer scholarly works
into original songs. Dynasty Handbag will be perform the excerpt from Depression. You won’t want to miss this book event! For ticket information, please see the Dixon Place website.
The show will also feature the work of Duke authors: Lisa Duggan,Tavia Nyong'o, and Ann Pellegrini.
