We are pleased to announce that Heather Thompson has won the 2012 Distinguished Scholarly Article Award from the ASA Section on Labor and Labor Movements. Her award-winning article, "Rethinking Working-Class Struggle Through the Lens of the Carceral State: Toward a Labor History of Inmates and Guards," appeared in Labor: Studies in Working-Class History of the Americas volume 8, issue 3 and was published in fall 2011. Congratulations to Heather and to our journal, Labor!
