Congratulations to Alexander Edmonds, author of Pretty Modern: Beauty, Sex, and Plastic Surgery in Brazil, for winning the 2011 Diana Forsythe prize from the Society for the Anthropology of Work (SAW). Celebrating the best book or series of publications in the spirit of Diana Forsythe's feminist anthropological research on work, science, and/or technology, including biomedicine, the prize will be awarded at the American Anthropological Association Annual Meeting in November.
