Here's a review of our new edition of Walt Whitman's long lost novel, Franklin Evansin the New York Sun. Glenn Hendler, one of the editors, says, "This may be the only time one can be happy about a review that calls the book 'one of the worst novels ever written.'" The reviewer continues, "Although worthless as a novel, Franklin Evans is a precious document that tells us much about the young Whitman."
